Help Your Members Compete
If your organization is a trade, industrial, or regional association, your
members may be able to benefit from the Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms
(TAA) program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce. The TAA program
provides federal funds for companies that have been adversely affected by
foreign competition. U.S. manufacturers experiencing increased foreign
competition, a decline in sales or production, and a decline or impending
decline in employment may be eligible for the TAA program.
But your members may not be aware of the TAA program or of the New York State
Trade Adjustment Assistance Center (NYS TAAC) which administers the program for
firms in New York State. By making your members aware of the program and the NYS
TAAC, your organization will be providing a valuable service that will help your
members to compete in today's global economy.
If you organization has members outside of New York State, please see our
TAA Centers page for a list of regional centers that administer the TAA program in
other states.
